Testimonials
Our Team
Louise
After working as a doctor in hospitals throughout the Central Belt, Louise founded Hamill Homecare back in 2016. Seeing the vital need for a functioning care system that eased the pressure on local NHS boards, Louise wanted to create a working environment that allowed staff the time, training, and confidence to deliver the highest standards of care to each and every client.
Cathy
A relaxing retirement may sound like everyone’s cup of tea, but not our Cathy. After a stellar career in the Civil Service, the boredom of retirement caused Cathy to look for a new challenge just under six years ago, and she hasn’t looked back since. Picking up ‘a little bit of everything’ and taking the lead on all things admin and finance at Hamill Healthcare HQ; you’ll find Cathy policing the Jukebox (Alexa) and enjoying a bowl of her famous homemade soup.
Cara
As Office Administrator, Cara really is the beating heart of operations here at our Glasgow HQ. Before joining us back in 2021, Cara had been in an admin position at a local Law Firm. Working closely with clients, team members, partners, and even our marketing agency; Cara gets involved in almost every aspect of the company. She’s a welcome energy in the office, and even more so when she brings in her puppy, Riley.
Laura
Laura took what can only be described as the scenic route to a career in homecare. With a background as a charge nurse in the NHS, and a little too much time spent watching Homes Under The Hammer, Laura set her sights on property development in 2015. Realising just how much she missed giving care and working within a team environment, Laura returned to the sector as a Care Coordinator with Hamill Homecare. From assessments and risk management to care plans and client preferences, Laura takes a hands-on approach to ensure that every client receives a bespoke, tailored schedule of care.
Holli
Leading the charge on all things service coordination, Holli joined the Hamill Homecare team in early 2023. Holli brings a wealth of experience from the personal care sector, having previously coordinated services and delivery at one of Scotland’s leading Mental Health charities. Now that she’s got a firm handle on the rota, team, and client needs; she’s already looking to mix things up at our headquarters, although we think her petition for an office karaoke system may be a step too far…
Betsy & Riley
Betsy is a three-year old Shih Tzu with a flare for the theatrical, and all the grace and glamour of a 1950’s Hollywood icon. When she fancies a little roam around her kingdom, you’ll know about it. If you see an orange ball when you’re in the office; she’ll thank you to leave it exactly where it is; she left it there. Louise may be her human, but everyone is her audience.
Energy levels in our HQ are typically on the higher end, but things reach a new level when Riley joins us for the day. Entering his (canine) teenage era, Riley keeps his human, Cara, on her toes and entertained. For Riley, there are only two different categories of dog toys; dog toys made to chew, and dog toys not made to chew that will be chewed regardless.
